Anta is the Egyptian goddess of war, known for balancing power and beauty.
"For the most part women's position in Egyptian society is thought to have been equal to that of men, I wanted to represent this through my portrait of Anta. I love Egyptian design for it's bold qualities but also the 2D nature of the artworks, I wanted to represent this through my Anta lino cutting."
- Beth Fraser
